Loris Karius celebrated World Dog Day with his stunning girlfriend’s pooch on Monday afternoon ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Manchester United.

The Germany Under-21 international has been spending his international break on Merseyside as Karius gears up for the visit of Jose Mourinho’s side on Monday night.

Karius made his Premier League debut last month as Liverpool were 5-1 winners against Mike Phelan’s Hull City at the KCOM Stadium before a 2-1 victory over Swansea City.

However, the former Manchester City youth player looked to switch off from football matters for a couple of hours as the German shot stopper relaxed with his girlfriend’s dog, Hugo.

Karius posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“It’s #WorldDogDay, so I took Hugo for an extra-long walk! 😊👌🏼🐶#mansbestfriend #dog #LK1 #Liverpool”

Karius moved to Liverpool in a £4.7m deal from Bundesliga side Mainz in the summer transfer window as he became the first of Jurgen Klopp’s seven summer signings.
