Hector Bellerin heaps praise on Arsenal's youngsters after their 2-0 win over Reading in the League Cup

Hector Bellerin has taken to social media to heap praise on Arsenal’s youngsters after watching Arsene Wenger’s men book their place in the quarter-finals of the League Cup on Tuesday night.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored twice to hand the north London side a 2-0 victory over Reading to secure their place in the next round.

There were a number of Arsenal youngsters on display, including the likes of Alex Iwobi and Jeff Reine-Adelaide.

And Bellerin enjoyed watching the Arsenal second string in action at The Emirates on Tuesday night.

The defender posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday and wrote: “Good to watch the boys get us through to the quarter-finals last night with a lot of academy graduates! #COYG (@mattework)”

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime with a trip to Sunderland.

The Gunners were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Middlesbrough in their last Premier League outing at The Emirates last weekend.

Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League and level on points with leaders Manchester City.
