The Chelsea captain is happy to be back at Stamford Bridge

John Terry couldn’t contain his excitement to secure a place on the Chelsea bench as the captain looked to make his return from injury.

The former England skipper has been sorely missed in recent weeks after the centre-half picked up an ankle problem during Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at Swansea City last month.

Chelsea have conceded seven goals in four games in all competitions in the absence of Terry as the west London side’s title challenge faltered following defeats by Arsenal and Liverpool.

However, the 35-year-old was named on Conte’s bench for the visit of reigning Premier League champions Leicester City in Saturday’s early kick-off at Stamford Bridge.

And veteran centre-half took to Instagram to post a snap of Chelsea’s sun-drenched stadium ahead of the clash against the Foxes.

Terry wrote the following caption: “Game Day ⚽️ @chelseafc”

Terry won his fourth Premier League title in 2015 under Jose Mourinho.
