Jordan Henderson cast aside Liverpool’s Premier League title rivalries with Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur as the Reds captain enjoyed a round of golf with Eric Dier and John Stones on Wednesday afternoon.

The 26-year-old is on England duty with Dier and Stone as interim manager Gareth Southgate looks to help the Three Lions move on from the Sam Allardyce saga over the past couple of weeks.

Henderson has enjoyed a promising start to the 2016-17 Premier League season after a return of one goal in seven appearance so far – his strike was a wonder goal in a 2-1 win at Chelsea.

Dier has also proven a vital player for Mauricio Pochettino and the England midfielder has played in six of Tottenham’s seven Premier League games so far, including a substitute appearance in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Manchester City.

Former Everton defender Stones was powerless to prevent the Lilywhites easing to a 2-0 victory over the Premier League leaders despite Pep Guardiola’s side winning their previous six top-flight games to start the season.

And Henderson posted the above photo with his England team-mates on his Instagram page after a round of golf on Wednesday.

Henderson wrote:

“Good afternoon playing golf with these two!! @ericdier15 @johnstonesofficial ⛳️ #thebelfry #10thhole #waterhazard 😱🙈”
