Simon Mignolet was keeping himself in high spirits despite again being forced to settle for a place on the substitutes’ bench during Liverpool’s 2-1 win over West Brom at Anfield on Saturday night.

The Belgian shot-stopper has fallen behind Loris Karius in the pecking order at Anfield this season following the German’s arrival at the club in the summer transfer window from Mainz.

Mignolet had been used to being the first-choice goalkeeper at Liverpool since his arrival at the Merseyside outfit under Brendan Rodgers.

However, the goalkeeper is now having to come to terms with the fact that he is no longer considered to be the first choice, with Karius having been handed the number one shirt following his arrival at the club this summer.

But despite his lack of playing time, Mignolet was staying positive after Saturday’s win over West Brom and posed for a picture with a group of fans visiting from Belgium.
