Memphis Depay has taken to social media to reveal his frustration at Paul Pogba helping France secure a 1-0 win over the Netherlands on Monday night.

Pogba struck the only goal of the game with a fine long-range effort as he helped Les Bleus take all three points from their World Cup qualifier.

Depay and Pogba went head to head for the first time since they became team-mates at Manchester United this summer following the France star’s return to Old Trafford.

And although Depay was clearly frustrated by the result, he was trying to stay positive after the game.

Depay shared the picture above of himself with Pogba after the final whistle on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Damn… Take it on the chin, and carry on. 😑💥⚽🏃🏽”

Depay and Pogba will now both head back to Carrington and report for Manchester United duty, as they look to start their preparations for Monday’s crunch clash against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by Stoke City in their most recent game.
