Granit Xhaka had a special message for Mesut Ozil after the Arsenal playmaker turned 28 on Saturday

Granit Xhaka took to social media to wish Mesut Ozil a happy birthday as the Arsenal playmaker turned 28 on Saturday.

The World Cup winning midfielder has become a regular fixture in the Arsenal side since his transfer to the north London club from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.

Xhaka used his personal Instagram account to sent a heartfelt message to Ozil as he celebrated his special day before Arsenal’s clash with Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon at The Emirates.

Xhaka posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Saturday and wrote: “Best wishes for your birthday bro 🎁🎂.

“The victory in the afternoon will be the best present for you today. Happy birthday to you Mesut 🎉. @m10_official ⚓#GX29”

Xhaka has made a positive start to life at Arsenal following his transfer to the north London club in the summer.

Both Ozil and Xhaka will be hoping to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Champions League action on Wednesday night with a home clash against Ludogorets at The Emirates.
