Eric Bailly has taken to social media to thank Manchester United’s fans for their support after the Red Devils played out a goalless draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night.

The Red Devils adopted a defensive approach on Merseyside as they managed to successfully keep Jurgen Klopp’s side at bay and gain a point from their bitter local rivals.

Liverpool had headed into the game in good form after securing wins over the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester this season.

But Klopp’s side were unable to break down a stubborn United defence as the Red Devils took a point back to Old Trafford with them.

Bailly played the full 90 minutes in the heart of the United defence and was proud of his team’s display after the final whistle.

The Ivorian posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Very hard match against an intense team. And we just summed up a key point. Thanks to all our fans who supported us in Anfield.”
