Bastian Schweinsteiger is not letting his lack of first-team football at Manchester United get him down
Bastian Schweinsteiger does not appear to be letting his absence from the Manchester United first team affect his mood.
The German midfielder is yet to make an appearance for the Red Devils this season after seemingly being frozen out by Jose Mourinho since the Portuguese coach’s arrival at Old Trafford.
Schweinsteiger’s future at Old Trafford has inevitably been a constant source of speculation in recent weeks due to his lack of playing time this season.
The midfielder could end up leaving the Red Devils in the January transfer window as he looks to nail down some regular first-team football.
However, he looked in good spirits nonetheless on Thursday afternoon as he posed for a picture with his former Bayern assistant coach as his team-mates prepared for their Europa League clash with Fenerbahce.
Schweinsteiger posted the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Lunch with my former @fcbayern assistant coach in Manchester! 👍🏼”
The World Cup winner joined United under Louis van Gaal.
