Michael Vaughan makes £500m claim about Man United legend and Paul Pogba

The former cricketer has his say on Manchester United world-record signing Paul Pogba

Michael Vaughan has suggested that Roy Keane was worth £500m in his prime after watching Paul Pogba’s disappointing performance in Manchester United’s 4-0 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho made the France international the most-expensive player in the world in August when the Red Devils coughed up £89m for the 23-year-old midfielder.

However, Pogba has struggled to live up to the hype since his big-money move after the playmaker failed to find the net in his opening four Premier League games.

The United star opened his Premier League account in a 4-1 win over defending champions Leicester City last month before the four-time Serie A winner scored twice in Thursday night’s 4-1 win against Fenerbahce.

But Pogba struggled up against his compatriot N’Golo Kante in west London as Mourinho’s side slumped to a 4-0 loss to Chelsea.

Former England cricketer Vaughan claimed that former United captain Keane was worth over five times more than Pogba when the ex Republic of Ireland skipper was at his peak.
