Piers Morgan uses Patrick Vieira to troll Man United over Paul Pogba
The outspoken Arsenal supporter tweets his thoughts on Manchester United's world-record signing Paul Pogba
Piers Morgan took to Twitter to remind Arsenal and Manchester United supporters that Paul Pogba cost £85.8m more than Patrick Vieira.
Jose Mourinho signed the France international in a world-record £89m deal from Serie A champions Juventus in the summer transfer window.
Vieira, on the other hand, was signed in a shrewd £3.2m deal from Italian giants AC Milan ahead of the appointment of Arsene Wenger.
The towering midfielder went on to win three Premier League titles and four FA Cups before his move to Juventus in 2005.
Pogba has made an underwhelming start to his United career so far after winning four successive Serie A titles between 2012 and 2016.
The 23-year-old opened his Premier League account with United’s fourth goal in a 4-1 win against Leicester City at Old Trafford.
And Morgan couldn’t resist the sizeable difference in the transfer fees that Arsenal and Manchester United paid for their French midfielders.
