Possible Liverpool blow as PSG plan to target Brazil star – report
Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a January move for Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, according to reports
Paris Saint-Germain are planning to test Liverpool’s resolve with a big-money offer for Brazil international Philippe Coutinho in the January transfer window, according to reports in the French media.
Le Sport 10 – as quoted by The Daily Mirror – are reporting that the Ligue 1 side will make a renewed effort to sign the Liverpool playmaker in the next transfer window.
The Daily Express claimed on Friday that PSG failed with a £22m bid for the former Inter Milan in the summer following Coutinho’s return of eight goals in 26 Premier League appearances under Jurgen Klopp.
The diminutive Brazilian midfielder has made an impressive start to the 2016-17 Premier League campaign after scoring three goals and making one assist in seven top-flight games so far.
Coutinho moved to Liverpool in an £8.5m deal from Serie A giants Inter Milan in 2013 after having failed to secure a regular place in the Nerazzurri side at the San Siro.
The South American playmaker was signed under Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers but has become a key part of the former Borussia Dortmund manager’s plans at Anfield.
