Roberto Firmino makes goal-scoring promise to Liverpool fans

Roberto Firmino is determined to improve on his 11 goals for Liverpool last season this term

Roberto Firmino has insisted that he is always working hard to improve his form in front of goal for Liverpool.

The Brazilian forward has been a regular fixture in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up this season and has earned plenty of new admirers since his arrival at Anfield from Hoffenheim last year.

Heading into this weekend’s Premier League games, Firmino had already netted four goals for the Reds as he continues to develop his game in front of goal.

And the attacker says that he has been working hard on his finishing in training as he looks to surpass last season’s tally of 11 goals for the Reds last term.

Speaking in an interview with Liverpool’s website before Saturday’s game with West Brom, Firmino said: “I should be moving towards that direction [scoring more goals] otherwise there would be something wrong with the way I am training!

“The aim is always to be better. I am the type of player who is demanding of himself, so I try to improve in every aspect. You cannot stop. I will always keep trying to achieve my goals.”
