Ryan Giggs makes claim about Jose Mourinho at Man United

Ryan Giggs says Jose Mourinho still does not know his best team at Manchester United

Ryan Giggs has claimed that Jose Mourinho still doesn’t know his best team at Manchester United despite having been in charge at Old Trafford for eight Premier League games this season.

Mourinho watched his side play out a goalless draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night as the Red Devils were set up defensively to contain the threat of Jurgen Klopp’s team.

The Portuguese coach has been tasked with restoring United to the top of English football after the sacking of Louis van Gaal back in May.

However, it appears that the former Chelsea boss has still not settled on his best starting 11 as he continues to get to grips with life at Old Trafford.

Mourinho is the third permanent manager to take over at Old Trafford since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement back in 2013.

And former United midfielder believes that he still does not know what his best team is, despite making a number of signings over the summer including Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Speaking on Sky Sports on Monday, Giggs said: “It was a big change. Twenty-six years, and then three managers. There seems to be a bit of a mismatch of players really and I think Jose’s having to deal with that.

“He still doesn’t know his strongest team.”
