Thierry Henry has a blunt warning for Arsenal fans
Thierry Henry sends a warning to Arsenal fans calling for change at The Emirates
Thierry Henry has warned Arsenal fans to be careful what they wish for about Arsene Wenger’s future.
The Frenchman’s situation at The Emirates has been a source of intense speculation in recent weeks after he entered into the final year of his contract with Arsenal at the start of the season.
Wenger has been in charge at Arsenal since 1996 and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will extend his contract beyond the end of the season.
The Arsenal boss has found himself to be under pressure at The Emirates in recent seasons following his failure to guide the Gunners to the Premier League title since 2004.
However, former Arsenal striker Henry believes that Gunners fans should be careful when calling for a change at The Emirates.
Speaking in an interview with The London Evening Standard, Henry said: “Be careful what you wish for because when he’s not going to be around people are going to realise what he was doing at the time.
“It looks like finally things are going the right way… It would be great if in his 20th season in charge he can win the title. But are they going to do it? The competition is massive.”
