Thierry Henry opens up about Eden Hazard at Chelsea this season
Thierry Henry has his say on Eden Hazard's improved form for Chelsea this season
Thierry Henry has claimed that Eden Hazard is “happy” at Chelsea again after the Belgian starred in the 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United on Sunday.
The Belgian playmaker was named man of the match as he helped the Blues record a thumping victory over Jose Mourinho’s men at Stamford Bridge to help Antonio Conte’s men move to within one point of the Premier League leaders.
Hazard came in for plenty of criticism last season for failing to deliver on a consistent basis for the Blues as Chelsea slumped to a 10th-placed finish in the Premier League and ended up without a trophy.
However, Henry – who has been working with Hazard as part of his role in the national team – believes that the 25-year-old is feeling good again as he bids to rediscover his best form for the Blues.
Speaking on Sky Sports after Sunday’s game, former Arsenal striker Henry said: “Eden is happy again. That’s one of the most important things, when you can get one of your best players at it again.
“He is happy and he’s willing to put some pressure on [too]. He said it himself, he has some other work to do – but he is happy to do it.”
