Thierry Henry replies when asked whether Arsenal or Tottenham have the best squad

Thierry Henry still feels that Arsenal have a stronger squad than Tottenham this season

Thierry Henry still feels that Arsenal have a stronger squad than Tottenham despite Spurs’ clear improvements in recent seasons.

The Lilywhites have earned plenty of praise for their exciting brand of football under Mauricio Pochettino and were Leicester City’s closest title challengers for most of last season.

Spurs eventually ended up having to settle for a third placed finish in the Premier League after they were pipped by Arsenal on the final day of the campaign.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham have started the 2016-17 season strongly, with the Gunners currently a point ahead of third-placed Spurs in the top flight table.

And although Henry has been particularly impressed by Tottenham’s resilience this season, he feels that Arsenal still have more strength in depth.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday morning, Arsenal legend Henry said: “I think Arsenal have the better squad.

“Tottenham have just conceded their first open-play goal against West Brom. The unit of Tottenham is very impressive, the way they defend. The team is working ever so well. That unit is very good but in terms of squad, Arsenal has a better squad in terms of depth.”
