Tottenham star gushes with praise for Arsenal boss: What he’s done is brilliant
Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose delivers his verdict on Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
Danny Rose has heaped praise on Arsene Wenger for the job he has done at Arsenal and has backed him as being a good fit to become England manager.
The Frenchman has faced his fair share of criticism in recent seasons for his failure to guide Arsenal to the Premier League title.
However, he oversaw the club’s move from Highbury to Emirates Stadium and also led the Gunners to FA Cup glory in the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Wenger has been touted as a possible candidate to take over as England manager as the Three Lions continue their search for Sam Allardyce’s successor.
And Tottenham full-back Rose has nothing but praise for the Arsenal manager.
Rose is quoted as saying by The London Evening Standard: “I’d welcome whoever is being linked with the [England] job.
“What he’s done for Arsenal over the last 20 years has been brilliant, the football that Arsenal play is breathtaking to watch at times.
“If he was to ever become manager of England that could certainly do wonders for the country.
“It would be great to have a manager like him with all the experience he has got. I’d be all for that.”
Tottenham are currently in second place in the Premier League table and just a point behind the leaders after their impressive 2-0 win over Manchester City last weekend at White Hart Lane.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are third and two points off top spot.
