Michael Owen states his prediction for Tottenham v Leicester
Michael Owen looks ahead to Tottenham's home clash against Leicester City this weekend
Michael Owen is tipping Tottenham to return to winning ways in the Premier League with victory over defending champions Leicester City at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
The Lilywhites have been held to two successive draws in the Premier League in recent weeks – against West Bromwich Albion and Bournemouth.
However, Mauricio Pochettino’s men are still very much in the race for the Premier League title, with Spurs currently fifth and just a point behind leaders Manchester City after nine games.
Leicester, meanwhile, are currently 12th after a disappointing start to their title defence.
And former Manchester United striker Owen cannot see the Foxes causing Spurs too many problems in north London on Saturday afternoon.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “After successive away draws at the Hawthorns and Dean Court Spurs will be looking to pick up maximum points against the champions who have had their own troubles on the road so far this Premier League season.
“The Foxes have lost all four of their away games in the Premier League and I expect that worrying trend to continue although it promises to be an absolute cracker.”
Tottenham were Leicester City’s closest challengers for the title last season but eventually ended up in third place in the Premier League table behind Arsenal and the champions.
