Watch: Mesut Ozil arrives home with match ball after first Arsenal hat-trick
The Arsenal midfielder is very happy with his first Champions League hat-trick
Mesut Ozil has given Arsenal supporters an idea what it feels like to arrive home after scoring your first Champions League hat-trick.
The Germany international was encouraged to shoot more often on Saturday afternoon by Arsene Wenger after the playmaker’s brilliant strike in a 3-2 win against Swansea City in the Premier League.
And Ozil has clearly paid attention to Wenger’s advice after the World Cup winner scored three goals in the north London side’s 6-0 win against Ludogorets at The Emirates on Wednesday night.
The former Real Madrid man scored his first and Arsenal’s fourth of the night in the 56th minute before the club-record signing scored twice in the final seven minutes.
Ozil posted the above video on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption after his first Arsenal hat-trick:
“Good night, Gunners. Took this one home with me tonight 😜⚽👌#safestplace #thebestornothing @mercedesbenz @adidasfootball”
Ozil moved to Arsenal in a club-record £42.5m deal from Real Madrid in 2013.
The German midfielder has won two FA Cup crowns during a three-year stay at the north London club.
