Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims to have turned rival fans into Man United supporters
The power of Zlatan
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joked that he has converted Manchester City fans into Manchester United supporters following his transfer to Old Trafford in the summer.
The Swedish striker joined the Red Devils on a free transfer this summer after being released by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.
Ibrahimovic has already established himself as a regular fixture in the Manchester United first team since his move and has started all nine of United’s Premier League games this season.
The 35-year-old is one of the most recognisable names in European football and is sure to have earned plenty of new admirers since his arrival in England.
However, the veteran striker claims he has gone one step further and converted City fans into Red Devils supporters.
Speaking in an interview with United Review, Ibrahimovic joked: “I’ve met a lot [of City fans around Manchester] but they became United supporters when they met me!”
Ibrahimovic will be expecting to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils host Burnley at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
