Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes admission about Liverpool this season

The Manchester United striker has been impressed by Liverpool's form this season

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has admitted that Liverpool have been in impressive form this season after the striker helped Manchester United seal a goalless draw at Anfield on Monday.

The 35-year-old forward helped Jose Mourinho’s men keep the Reds at bay on Merseyside as they successfully managed to contain the attacking threat of the home side.

Liverpool have been one of the Premier League’s most consistent teams this season and have already beaten the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester City this term.

And new Manchester United signing Ibrahimovic admits that he has been impressed by what he has seen from Jurgen Klopp’s men this term.

Speaking in an interview with ESPN, Ibrahimovic said: “We came and did what we needed to do, especially in the first half. Second half, we loosened up a little bit and then they got more chances. They played more like they’re used to playing.

“It’s not easy to play here at Anfield. Liverpool, at the moment, are playing very good and doing great things in the competition.”

Manchester United return to action with a crunch clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
