Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals secret to his strong start at Man United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic discusses his strong start to life at Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that keeping himself mentally engaged is the key to his strong start at Manchester United this season.

The Swedish striker has been one of the Premier League’s top strikers this season and has already netted six goals in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s men so far this term.

The 34-year-old signed for the Red Devils on a free transfer in the summer after being released by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.

Ibrahimovic has been keeping himself in peak physical condition in recent months and the striker has lifted the lid on his approach to getting the most out of his body.

Ibrahimovic is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “I try to push myself for every game. For me every game is a new game whether it is Premier League, Europa League, League Cup, FA Cup or whatever.

“As a professional player, whether you start or if you are on the bench, you need to be mentally ready and you need to do your job because we are judged by every game we play.

“So whatever we did two games ago it is the last one that counts and that is the way I think, so that is why I work hard for it.”

Ibrahimovic will be expecting to be involved when Manchester United return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch clash against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by Stoke City at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
