Alan Smith reacts to Jurgen Klopp Liverpool exit speculation
Alan Smith pours cold water on claims that Jurgen Klopp could be tempted to swap Liverpool for Bayern
Alan Smith has admitted that he would find it difficult to envisage Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool to join Bayern Munich.
The Liverpool manager has been linked with a move to take over at German champions Bayern Munich in recent days, despite his side’s flying start to the season.
Liverpool are currently flying high in second place in the Premier League table after a strong start to the new campaign.
The Reds have earned a reputation as one of the top flight’s most exciting teams following Klopp’s appointment as their new manager back in October 2015.
Liverpool are looking to break back into the top four under Klopp this season, and Arsenal legend Smith feels it is unlikely that the German would be tempted to swap Anfield for the Allianz Arena at the moment.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday morning, Smith said: “He’s worked so hard – he’s brought in the players that he wanted and has moulded the team that he wanted.
“You wouldn’t imagine that he’d want to leave with the job half-done.
“If he can win the title there, he’s a legend at Anfield.”
