Antonio Conte delivers blunt update about the futures of two Chelsea stars
Antonio Conte says he has no intention of selling either Cesc Fabregas or Oscar in January
Antonio Conte has laughed off suggestions that Cesc Fabregas or Oscar could leave Chelsea in the January transfer window.
Fabregas has found his first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge severely restricted since Conte’s appointment as the club’s new manager back in the summer.
Oscar has also been linked with a possible transfer away from Chelsea in recent weeks.
However, Conte issued a blunt reply when asked whether the duo could be on their way out of Chelsea in the new year.
Speaking in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte said of Fabregas and Oscar: “Gossip.
“I am not going to send them away. They are important players for Chelsea.”
Chelsea are currently gearing up for their crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday night.
The Blues are flying high at the top of the Premier League table after 12 games of the new season, with Chelsea having earned plenty of praise for their top displays in recent weeks as they look to win the title.
