Antonio Conte has been pleased with his side's adaptation to life under the new Chelsea boss
Antonio Conte has revealed his delight at the speed with which his Chelsea players have adapted to life under his guidance.
The Italian coach was appointed as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor at Stamford Bridge in the summer and has enjoyed a relatively strong start to his stint in charge in west London.
Conte has earned plenty of praise for masterminding impressive victories over the likes of Everton and Manchester United in recent weeks as the Blues bounced back from defeats by the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.
The new man in charge at Chelsea was named as the Premier League’s manager of the month for October after an impressive few weeks for the Italian.
And the Chelsea boss has admitted that he has been thrilled by the speed at which his Chelsea players have adapted to life under their new manager.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Conte said: “For sure when you arrive in a new club and also in a new country, it is more difficult to bring your method, your idea, your philosophy and it be followed quickly, particularly if players are used to another philosophy.
“But I am pleased because from the start of the season I always saw the right work-rate, the right commitment from the players and it is normal that to understand the method, you need a bit of time, but now I am very glad to see they are adapted to this method.”
Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League and without a trophy after a season to forget last term.
The Blues won the Premier League and League Cup under Mourinho in the 2014-15 campaign.
