Antonio Conte sends message to Chelsea star Willian

Antonio Conte wants Willian to continue working hard to prove his worth at Chelsea

Antonio Conte has told Willian that he must continue to work hard as he bids to rediscover his best form for Chelsea.

The Brazilian playmaker was widely regarded as Chelsea’s best player last season in what was otherwise a campaign to forget for the west London club.

Willian earned praise for his performances as Chelsea slumped to a disappointing 10th-placed finish in the Premier League table.

Conte is backing the Brazilian to rediscover his best form as the hectic festive period in the Premier League draws ever nearer.

Former Juventus manager Conte is quoted as saying by The Daily Express, before Saturday’s clash with Tottenham: “Willian has come back and now it is important to find good form because in this period he was unlucky. I don’t know why.

“But now it is important to focus on the work and training sessions.”

Italian boss Conte was brought in as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor at Chelsea in the summer after a disastrous season last term.
