Antonio Conte states his prediction for Man City v Chelsea

Antonio Conte looks ahead to Chelsea's trip to Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday

Antonio Conte has warned his Chelsea side that they are in for a stern test of their Premier League title credentials when they travel to Manchester City in the top flight this weekend.

The Blues continued their fine form under their new manager on Saturday when they came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over bitter local rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s win over Spurs was their seventh straight victory in the top flight and kept them a point clear of second-placed Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

Conte is now preparing his side for their crunch top-flight clash against Pep Guardiola’s men at The Etihad on Saturday lunchtime as the Blues look to maintain their spot at the top of the pile.

And the Italian boss admits that the game will be a big test for his Chelsea side.

Conte is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “It will be a good test. Let’s be honest. If you look at those Liverpool and Arsenal games, we are a different team now.

“If we were the same team as two months ago, it would have been very difficult to win on Saturday. I love this mentality of my players.

“I saw great attitude and commitment from all of them and I see the will to change things now, compared to the past. “It will be very difficult for any team to win seven games in a row, because this league is really tough.”
