Ian Wright states his prediction for Arsenal v Tottenham

Ian Wright states his prediction for Arsenal's clash with Tottenham at The Emirates on Sunday

Ian Wright is backing Arsenal to beat Tottenham 3-1 in Sunday’s north London derby clash at The Emirates.

The Gunners head into the game in fine form and having earned plenty of praise for their recent performances this season.

Arsenal booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday night with a 3-2 win over Ludogorets.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are struggling to find consistent form and were beaten 1-0 by Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Spurs are without a win in three Premier League games and will be hoping to beat their bitter local rivals this weekend.

Tottenham are also set to welcome Harry Kane back into their squad for the game.

However, former Arsenal star Wright is backing the Gunners to claim victory on Sunday lunchtime.

Speaking to The Sun’s Goal Podcast, Wright said: “You look at Arsenal and they’ve got goals in their team at the moment.

“They’re flying and they’re feeling confident. It is one of those games where you want Arsenal while they have the momentum and impetus, to go and really beat Tottenham.

“I can see a 3-1. You’d take 3-1 against our rivals. That’s brilliant.”

Arsenal finished second and without a trophy last season, while Tottenham ended up in third place.
