Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal concerns, Gunners could face one of these six clubs
Arsene Wenger delivers his verdict on Arsenal after their 2-2 draw with PSG in the Champions League
Arsene Wenger has admitted his concern at Arsenal’s inability to see out the game after they were held to a 2-2 draw by PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The north London side took the lead in the second half, only to be pegged back by Lucas Moura’s header.
The result leaves Arsenal likely to finish second in Group A and with a tricky tie against one of Barcelona, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Monaco, Juventus or Borussia Dortmund.
It was Arsenal’s third draw in a row in all competitions and Wenger could not hide his concerns about his side’s recent stuttering form.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Wednesday night, Wenger said: “We got a point. It might not be enough, but you never know. We lacked creativity. We gave a lot, and we came back from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 but then gave away an own goal.
“We had good spells but we could not dominate. My concern is that we were 2-1 up and allowed them to come back at us. It’s difficult to understand how easily we gave away a goal at a corner.
“We lack something in our creativity but we got a point. It might not be enough but you never know.”
Arsenal now turn their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their crunch clash against Bournemouth at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
The north London side have been held to draws by Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in recent weeks.
