Ashley Cole reacts to Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Tottenham on Twitter
The Chelsea legend has his say on the Premier League leaders' 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur
Ashley Cole highlighted Danny Rose’s absence as a contributing factor to Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men took the lead courtesy of Christian Eriksen’s superb 11th-minute strike which silenced Stamford Bridge after Chelsea’s recent six-game winning run.
However, the hosts managed to level the London derby in the 45th minute thanks to Pedro Rodriguez’s curled finish which beat Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Antonio Conte’s side were ahead in the 51st minute after Victor Moses scored his third goal of the 2016-17 campaign despite despite the efforts of Lloris and Jan Vertonghen on the goal-line.
Former Chelsea defender Cole tweeted throughout the London derby, singling out Rose’s absence as a key factor after Moses’ dominant performance.
