The Red Devils played out a frustrating 1-1 draw with the Hammers in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as the 20-time English international succumbed to successive draws in the top flight.

Diafra Sakho broke the deadlock in the second minute for the hosts before Jose Mourinho’s summer signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic levelled 19 minutes later with a deft finish.

Schweinsteiger was named on the bench for the first time this season but the Red Devils turned to Wayne Rooney and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the second half in search of a winner.

However, the Germany legend had some words of advice for his Manchester United team-mates on Twitter following their latest Premier League disappointment.

Schweinsteiger moved to Manchester United in a £6.7m deal from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich under Mourinho’s predecessor Louis van Gaal in 2015.
