Danny Murphy makes claim about Eden Hazard after Chelsea’s win over Tottenham
Danny Murphy has been very impressed by Eden Hazard in recent weeks...
Danny Murphy has claimed that Eden Hazard is now back to his best form after his performance for Chelsea in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Tottenham.
The Belgian playmaker did not get on the scoresheet against Spurs but started the game as Antonio Conte’s men came from behind to retain their place at the top of the Premie League table.
Hazard came in for plenty of criticism for his failure to produce consistent performances for the Blues last season as the west London club ended up 10th in the table and without a trophy.
However, the Belgium international now looks to be rediscovering his best form and was voted as the Premier League player of the month for October.
And the 25-year-old caught the eye of former Liverpool midfielder Murphy for his strong display against Spurs on Saturday night at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Murphy said: “Eden Hazard in the second half [against Tottenham] was exceptional.
“He is back to the form when he won the PFA player of the year.”
Chelsea are one point clear of second-placed Liverpool in the Premier League table.
