The north London side were pegged back in the second half despite leading 2-1 at the Emirates to leave their hopes of topping their Champions League group looking slim.

Arsenal have been made to pay for finishing second in their group in recent seasons and have not progressed to the quarter-finals in the last six years.

The Gunners were dumped out of the competition at the hands of Barcelona at the last-16 stage last term.

And Ospina admitted that Wednesday’s game was a tough one on social media.

The goalkeeper posted the picture below on his personal Twitter account and wrote:

Arsenal now return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a crunch clash against Bournemouth.

The Gunners have drawn their last three games in all competitions.
