Former France boss tears into Arsenal star Mesut Ozil

Raymond Domenech has not been impressed by Mesut Ozil's performances for Arsenal...

Raymond Domenech has criticised Mesut Ozil for not having the physical attributes needed to succeed at the top level.

The Arsenal playmaker has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top attacking players since his arrival at the club from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.

Ozil was one of the Premier League’s top performers last season and notched up more than 18 assists for his team-mates in the top flight.

However, the former Real Madrid start still seems to have his fair share of critics, with some claiming that he does not produce consistent performances for Arsenal.

And former France manager Domenech is clearly not the biggest fan of the 28-year-old playmaker.

Domenech is quoted as saying by Get French Football: “As soon as there is physicality involved, he disappears.

“If he has to track back, he doesn’t do it.”

Ozil will be hoping to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action on Sunday with a home clash against Bournemouth.
