Gary Neville attempts to explain Man United’s 1-1 draw with West Ham on Twitter
The Manchester United legend delivers verdict on Sunday's 1-1 stalemate with West Ham United on Twitter
Gary Neville has blamed Manchester United’s stuttering Premier League form on the Europa League after Sunday afternoon’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United.
The Red Devils lost further ground in the Premier League title race after Jose Mourinho’s succumbed to their second successive stalemate at Old Trafford.
Diafra Sakho scored inside 90 seconds to put the hosts on the back foot after the Senegal international headed in Dimitri Payet’s free-kick to break the deadlock.
The 20-time English champions were level 19 minutes later after Paul Pogba’s pinpoint pass found Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the 35-year-old guided his finish into the net.
Mourinho was sent to the stands in the first half for kicking a bottle on the touchline after the Manchester United manager reacted angrily to Pogba’s booking for diving.
The hosts introduced Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Wayne Rooney in the second half in search of a winner but the Red Devils succumbed to yet another stalemate at Old Trafford.
The Premier League draw comes a matter of days after Manchester United were comfortable 4-0 winners against Feyenoord in their penultimate Europa League group-stage game.
And Neville suggested on Twitter that Manchester United’s Europa League involvement is taking its toll on Mourinho’s players.
That EL is a killer!! Always has been and always will… Twitter please educate me on a team that's excelled in the league and been in it.

I'm sure there has been a team but seems to hamper most
