Gary Neville delivers optimistic verdict on Liverpool prediction

The Manchester United legend is hoping Liverpool finish outside the top four

Gary Neville is trying to stay optimistic that Liverpool will finish outside the top four this season.

The Reds were a point behind Premier League leaders Chelsea heading into their clash against David Moyes’ struggling Sunderland side at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side moved to the top of the Premier League table thanks to a 2-0 win after goals from Divock Origi and James Milner in the second half.

Chelsea hoisted themselves back above the Merseyside outfit thanks to a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

Sky Sports’ Premier Predictor claimed that the 18-time English champions will finish in fifth place and outside the Champions League places.

And Neville, who works as a pundit on Sky Sports, couldn’t resist taking to Twitter to delivers his optimistic verdict on Sky Sports’ algorithm.

Liverpool will host Leeds United in the EFL Cup quarter-final at Anfield on Tuesday night.
