Harry Redknapp delivers his verdict on Chelsea after Tottenham win

Harry Redknapp has his say on Chelsea after their 2-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday

Harry Redknapp has praised Chelsea for their strength after their 2-1 comeback win over Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday night.

Antonio Conte’s men fell behind to Christian Eriksen’s opener at Stamford Bridge but the Blues fought their way back into the game thanks to Pedro’s curling shot.

And Chelsea took the lead early in the second half when Victor Moses fired in Diego Costa’s cross to earn the west London side the three points at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have earned plenty of praise for their style of play under new boss Conte in recent weeks, with the Blues currently leading the way at the top of the Premier League table.

And former Tottenham boss Redknapp has been very impressed by what he has seen from the west London side in recent weeks.

Speaking on the BT Sport Premier League Tonight show, Redknapp said: “They’ve got strengths and they’re very strong in certain areas of the pitch. They’ve found a system that suits them.

“When Conte came in I thought for sure he would play with three at the back.”

Chelsea are looking to bounce back from their disastrous 10th-placed finish in the Premier League last season.
