Hector Bellerin delivers positive Arsenal injury update

Hector Bellerin is hoping to be back training outdoors with Arsenal next week

Hector Bellerin has revealed that he hopes to be training outdoors next week as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.

The right-back has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury during the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at The Emirates earlier this month.

His absence has come as a blow to the Gunners, with the full-back having earned a reputation as one of the best defenders in the Premier League since breaking into the first-team at The Emirates.

However, Bellerin appears to have indicated that his recovery is going well as he prepares to get back to training outdoors.

Bellerin is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “It’s going better than expected because it’s a pretty hard injury but, at the moment, it’s recovering really well.

“I hope to be running by the end of this week or the beginning of next week and then we’ll just take it from there.”

Bellerin recently signed a new contract with the Gunners as he committed his future to the north London club.
