Hugo Lloris fires warning to Chelsea ahead of Tottenham clash

Hugo Lloris has a warning for Chelsea ahead of their Champions League clash with Tottenham

Hugo Lloris has warned Chelsea that Tottenham Hotspur will need no extra motivation when they take on the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night.

Spurs head into their crunch Champions League clash against Chelsea looking to bounce back from the bitter disappointment of being knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday night following their defeat at Monaco.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are aiming to extend their winning run in the Premier League and maintain their place at the top of the Premier League table.

The Blues have been in fine form in recent weeks and currently sit a point clear at the top after 12 games of the new campaign.

And despite admitting his disappointment at Tuesday’s result, goalkeeper Lloris believes that there is no better game for Spurs to bounce back in.

Speaking in an interview with Spurs’ website, Lloris said: “We’re very disappointed, very frustrated with the way we played.

“It’s a big disappointment but we need to keep our chins up because it’s a big game on Saturday. I have no doubt about that.

“I said the same after we lost against Leverkusen at Wembley, this is the best type of game to bounce back.

“The only thing is to digest the frustration of this defeat and look forward.”
