Ian Wright: This player like new Chelsea signing under Antonio Conte
The Arsenal legend lavishes praise on Chelsea forward Victor Moses after his run of impressive form
Ian Wright says Victor Moses has been like a new Chelsea signing for Antonio Conte.
The Blues manager has played the Nigeria international in a right wing-back role for the west London side over the past couple of months.
Conte’s tactical switch has paid dividends after a return of two goals in nine appearances for Moses in the 2016-17 campaign so far.
The African winger has spent the last three years out on loan at Liverpool, West Ham United and Stoke City before returning to Chelsea.
Former Arsenal striker Wright heaped praise on the Nigeria international after his impressive impact at the west London side this term.
“Victor Moses looks like a new signing. Antonio Conte has really got him firing,” Wright told BBC Radio Five Live.
Moses has scored two goals and has made one assist in five Premier League starts and a further four appearances from the bench.
The Nigerian forward moved to Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in 2012 for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old has scored 13 times in 54 games in all competitions for the Blues.
