Jack Wilshere makes honest admission ahead of Arsenal v Bournemouth
Jack Wilshere admits that he wants Bournemouth to beat Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League
Jack Wilshere has openly admitted that he wants Bournemouth to beat Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
The England midfielder is currently on loan to the Cherries but will not feature against his parent club at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
Wilshere was sent out on loan to Bournemouth for the Premier League season after being deemed to be surplus to requirements at The Emirates by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
It remains to be seen whether Wilshere will have a long-term future at Arsenal beyond this season.
However, the midfielder has admitted that he wants to see the Gunners lose to Bournemouth this weekend.
Midfielder Wilshere is quoted as saying by The Daily Star: “It’s frustrating [I won’t play] because I’ve just got a run of games.
“But it might be good for me to refresh and go again. I’ll be there.”
He added: “You know what? At the minute I’m a Bournemouth player, so I want Bournemouth to win.”
Arsenal head into the game looking to return to winning ways after their 2-2 draw with PSG in the Champions League in midweek.
Wenger’s men have drawn their last three games in all competitions this term.
