Jamie Redknapp: This Arsenal player is dynamite
Jamie Redknapp lavishes praise on Alexis Sanchez after Arsenal's 3-1 win over Bournemouth
Jamie Redknapp has lavished praise on Alexis Sanchez following the Chilean’s sparkling display for Arsenal against Bournemouth on Sunday.
The 27-year-old forward scored in each half to help Arsene Wenger’s men return to winning ways in the Premier League and allow them to keep pace with their rivals at the top of the Premier League table.
Sanchez has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents since his arrival at the club from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.
And Redknapp was full of praise for Sanchez’s display as he helped to inspire Arsenal to victory over Bournemouth with a man of the match performance on Sunday afternoon.
Writing in his column for The Daily Mail, Redknapp said: “Arsenal would have really struggled to beat Bournemouth on Sunday had it not been for Alexis Sanchez. The man is dynamite!
“His two strikes were the sort of goals Ian Wright used to score — making sure he was in the right place at the right time. He chases every lost cause and is a nuisance to play against.
“Sanchez now has eight goals from 13 games having scored just five at the same stage last season.
“Playing centrally suits him so much more — I’m amazed it has taken Arsene Wenger this long to work it out! He gives Arsenal their cutting edge.”
Sanchez will be expecting to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action on Saturday night with a trip to face West Ham United.
The Gunners are currently fourth and three points behind leaders Chelsea after 13 games.
