Jesse Lingard makes huge claim about Man United ahead of Arsenal clash

Jesse Lingard feels that Manchester United have what it takes to win the Premier League this season

Jesse Lingard has claimed that Manchester United have what it takes to reverse their stuttering start to the season and win the Premier League this term.

The Red Devils have struggled to produce consistent form under their new manager Jose Mourinho following his appointment as Louis van Gaal’s successor at Old Trafford back in May.

United did return to winning ways in the Premier League before the international break with a 3-1 victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

However, Mourinho’s men still trail Premier League leaders Liverpool by eight points after 11 games of the new season.

But Manchester United midfielder Lingard is convinced that the Red Devils have what it takes to win their first title since 2013 this season under their new manager.

Speaking in an interview with United’s website, Lingard said: “The players that have come in can help a lot.

“We’re still getting to know each other better, to learn off each other week in, week out. But with the four signings we’ve made, I think we have a strong enough squad to win the league this season.”
