Jose Mourinho admits his concern about Man United v West Ham

Jose Mourinho is not happy about his Manchester United side playing West Ham twice in four days

Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is not comfortable about his Manchester United side playing West Ham twice in four days.

The Red Devils are currently preparing to host the Hammers at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League as they look to return to winning ways following their 1-1 draw with Arsenal last weekend.

However, United will then once again host the east London side in their EFL Cup quarter-final clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

And Mourinho admits that he does not enjoy playing the same team in such close proximity.

Speaking in an interview with United’s website, Mourinho said: “Honestly I don’t like it, I never like it.

“It has happened to me many times in my career and it’s something that I think is not good.

“But we have to just forget the second game and focus on the first one and go step by step.”

Manchester United head into their clash with West Ham on the back of an impressive performance in the 4-0 win over Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday night.

United have been struggling in the Premier League however, and headed into this weekend’s round of games trailing the leaders by nine points.
