Wenger delivers latest Arsenal injury update ahead of Bournemouth clash

Arsene Wenger delivers the latest Arsenal injury update ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Lucas Perez, Santi Cazorla and Hector Bellerin are all still out injured ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Bournemouth on Sunday.

The trio have not featured for the Gunners in recent weeks and the Arsenal boss confirmed on Friday that none of the three players would be available for this weekend’s Premier League game at The Emirates.

Wenger did however reveal that striker Lucas returned to training on Friday – but said he would not be fit enough to face the Cherries.

Speaking at a news conference on Friday morning, Wenger said: “I don’t think from the other night we have any injuries, so everybody should be available. In cases like Cazorla and Bellerin, they are still out. We have nobody coming back.

“Lucas is for the first time in training today [Friday]. He might be in contention for Wednesday [against Southampton], but one training session is not enough to be involved on Sunday.”

Arsenal head into Sunday’s game looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their 2-2 draw with PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
