Wenger delivers latest Arsenal injury update ahead of PSG clash
Arsene Wenger delivers the latest Arsenal team news ahead of Wednesday's clash with Paris Saint-Germain
Arsene Wenger has given Alexis Sanchez the all clear to feature from the start for Arsenal against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
There had been concerns about the forward’s fitness levels after his stint away from Arsenal on international duty with Chile.
Sanchez suffered from a muscular problem while away with Chile but returned to action for Arsenal when he started Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Manchester United.
And Wenger has revealed that Sanchez has been given a clean bill of health ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
Speaking at his news conference at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground on Tuesday morning, Wenger said: “He has recovered completely. He had the bandage [against United] because he had a bit of tightness.”
The Arsenal manager also delivered updates on the fitness levels of Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Lucas Perez, the latter of whom had been sidelined with an ankle problem.
He continued: “Everybody has recovered from Saturday. We had Ramsey and Walcott in recovery, but they should be both OK for tomorrow.
“Lucas is back and he us ahead of schedule, but not yet training full time with the squad.”
