Michael Owen states his prediction for Liverpool v Watford
Michael Owen looks ahead to Liverpool's clash with Watford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon
Michael Owen is tipping Liverpool to continue their fine recent form with victory over Watford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds head into the game looking to continue their winning run heading into the final international break of the year.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have earned plenty of praise for their performances this season, with the Reds already having beaten the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City this term.
Liverpool are currently level on points with leaders Manchester City and second-placed Arsenal after 10 games of the new season.
And Owen is backing the Reds to claim all three points when they host Watford at Anfield on Sunday.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, former Liverpool striker Owen said: “I thought Liverpool were very good at Selhurst Park last weekend and I would be surprised if Watford were able to stop this impressive Liverpool side at Anfield on Sunday.
“Philippe Coutinho has had a hand in six goals in his last six Premier League games and I see he is 8/1 to be named PFA Player of the Year at BetVictor; with the Reds 11/4 for the title that 8/1 might be overpriced for the Brazilian magician.”
Klopp has been tasked with steering Liverpool back into the top four of the Premier League after their disappointing eighth-placed finish in the top flight last season following Brendan Rodgers’ sacking.
