Ian Wright states prediction for Man United v West Ham
The Arsenal legend is backing Manchester United to beat West Ham on Sunday afternoon
Ian Wright says he can’t see past a Manchester United victory over West Ham at Old Trafford after their promising performance against Arsenal last weekend.
Jose Mourinho’s were robbed of three points in the Premier League last weekend after Arsenal substitute Olivier Giroud scored an equaliser to cancel out Juan Mata’s opener in the 90th minute and seal a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have only recored one win in their last five Premier League games to leave the 20-time English champions a staggering nine points behind leaders Chelsea.
West Ham, on the other hand, have been in disappointing form in the Premier League and managed to lose 3-2 to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane last weekend.
Former Arsenal striker Wright is backing Mourinho’s side to return to winning ways against the Hammers on Sunday afternoon.
“I would go with Manchester United to beat West Ham in this game,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.
The Red Devils appointed Mourinho as Louis van Gaal’s replacement in May after Manchester United finished in fifth place.
