Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford backed to become two of Europe’s best at Man United
Andrei Kanchelskis is expecting big things from the Manchester United duo
Andrei Kanchelskis is tipping Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford to develop into European superstars under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
Rashford has earned plenty of new admirers since breaking into the Red Devils team under Louis van Gaal in the second half of last season.
Indeed, the teenager was rewarded for his fine form with a call-up to the England squad for the summer’s Euro 2016 tournament.
Rashford is widely regarded as one of Manchester United’s most exciting prospects, while Pogba will now be hoping to prove himself at Old Trafford following his big-money transfer back to the club in the summer.
And former Manchester United winger Kanchelskis feels that the pair have the potential to develop into European stars at Old Trafford.
Speaking in an interview with 888sport, Kanchelskis said: “Pogba is playing different football to what he’s used to in Italy.
“It is very different to English football, not just on the pitch but in life and the mentality. I played out there and I know.
“Pogba is a very good player who needs time to adapt to the Premier League. He has only played four months.
“Look at De Gea – when he arrived everybody was saying he wasn’t such a good keeper but now he’s the best goalkeeper in Europe.”
He added: “Rashford has been very good very quickly but he needs time.
“It’s all a big change but in time he can help Manchester United win the title.”
Manchester United finished fifth and won the FA Cup under Louis van Gaal last season before he was sacked and replaced by Mourinho.
